One of the more popular spots in Upper Bidwell Park, Monkey Face is a rock formation that, from afar, looks to have a bridged brow over two eyes, similar to a monkey's. The 1.1-mile loop trail is an easy 15-minute path suitable for all skill levels.
Once to the top of the Monkey Face, visitors will find secluded spots to watch sunrise or sunset, put a hammock between two trees and relax, or climb on rocks for a more adventurous outing. Dogs on leash are permitted. Best time for use is April through November.
